I'm a musician and music producer from Paris, France. Over the past decade I have released 3 albums and multiple EPs under my Flabaire alias as well as other records under differents monikers/bands (Aboukir, Secret Value Orchestra). My latest album as Flabaire, "Layers" released in November 2020 is very drone oriented. I discovered the No Melody Archive through David Moufang a.k.a. Move D which is a hero of mine. I'm glad to have contributed to this project, I recorded this drone with a Sequential Prophet 6 synth passing through an old MXR Flanger / Doubler unit, and then through various delays and reverbs. I hope it will be of some use to the artists that are performing.

Luis Miehlich | spectral cymbal sonata

  • Artist Info

spectral transformation of cymbal recordings using Iris2 and granular synthesis. Pseudo-melodic fragments emerge by only selecting small frequency bands of the complex and dense overtones of the cymbals. Get's more droney in the end! Wish I could be in Heidelberg on sunday! I wish everyone a joyful evening. Thank you for this wonderful project.
